My main areas of investigation are formal semantics and pragmatics. My primary interest lies in applying logical-mathematical tools to model the meaning of linguistic expressions and their relationship to speech context. My most recent research has focused on the domains of temporality (and its expression through the grammatical categories of aspect, tense, and mood) and modality (and its expression through modal, mental attitude, and communication verbs).
I am also interested in computational linguistics and the possibility of computationally modeling linguistic facts related to meaning.
